Ideal for PC Workshop or DIY
Basic demo of how to read the chip on the board with the kit
Another harder way to unlock EFI Bios passwords is you need to have your own soldering iron and hot air blower if you want to buy pre programmed chips with no password set so you can just remove one and replace it with another one pre programmed one that you purchased. With the programmer kit you can also buy preprogrammed chips and make a backup of the files yourself and then reprogram and sell on yourself to workshops who offer soldering services.
Programmer kit with adapter needs no soldering experience
But with the programmer this package if you repair or sell Apple computers you can make you own collection of virgin files that have no password set for each model of apple computer you come across with the owners consent But best of all no need to use soldering irons or hot blowers.
Once you build your collection of these dump files that you can program in minutes in to another locked bios chip that is same model and logic board number that you read the file from and best of all no need to solder anything using the optionally supplied adapter that clips in to the chip itself on the board and reprogram in circuit.
Another thing you can do is read a locked file from a apple computer and send to us and we can clear the iCloud lock in the file and email you back to write back to the chip on the motherboard to do the EFI iCloud unlocking.
Step 1 – Use programmer and clip to interface with the chip.
Step 2 - Read the chip and ensure you have a good Connection
Step 3 – Make a copy of the dump and open it in a hex editor. I use Notepad ++.
Step 4 - Search for “$SVS" in the dump and you should find 2 instances. The first instance is what you will need to clear out making sure to keep the file length the same. It is safe to replace it with an empty value such as “F". The string including the $SVS should be replaced, you can copy and paste a portion of the string below if needed. each "F" is 2 bits and 8 bits make a byte So keep that in mind when you replace the string. The file size has to be exactly the same size as the chip or it will return an error.
1) Download and Run software / driver, from cd
2) Clip the supplied Clip to the bios chip, please make sure the dot on the chip mean pin one is line up with the clip pin 1
dont worry if not sure which way around. the software with the bios reader/writer can detect the pins are all connected for you.
3) Once make sure it has make good contact and grip correctly.4) Open the Prog software, click Device > Auto detect device type > click start detect.
If error check the prob clip has grip the bios chip correctly
5) Choose MX25L6406E for mac book pro
6) Click Manual to read and then save your file.
Now use a hex editor to clear the file lock to email file to us and we can do 1 free with each kit for you and email you.
To write bios chip:
1) Setup as above.
2) Click Load > choose the bios .BIn file that is already unlocked files from us or clean them yourself with a hex editor
3) Click Auto Manual > tick all 4 boxes ( Erase, Blank Check, Program and Verify )
4) Click Auto start
After Unlock the MAC with the programmer for the eeproms you can save each unlocked bios file, writing an unlock bios file to a lock mac the same model and same year will make it unlock.
